Talking Fantastic Four on Earth’s Mightiest Show

Following today’s huge announcement about this August’s return of the Fantastic Four, Marvel Comics Senior Vice President and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort stopped by a brand new episode of Earth’s Mightiest Show to discuss the exciting news!

The series, written by Dan Slott with art by Sara Pichelli, reunites Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Thing, and the Human Torch after years of separation. And in the clip above, Tom speaks about the group’s importance throughout the history of Marvel.

“The FF are kind of the cornerstone of the Marvel Universe; everything that we’ve done in publishing goes back to FANTASTIC FOUR #1,” notes Brevoort. “They really are kind of the foundation. And for the couple of years that they haven’t been around—since Secret Wars—absence has made the heart grow fonder. There’s been a real wellspring of interest and support among the fans.”

Excited for their long-awaited return, he teases big things to come for Marvel’s First Family. “Now we’re finally at the point where we’re able to unify the team again, bring the family back together, and put them back at the center of the Marvel Universe where they belong!”

Watch the clip above before tuning in to the full episode of Earth’s Mightiest Show right here! Then stay tuned to Marvel.com as well as Marvel on Twitter and Facebook for more from editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski, Dan Slott, and Sara Pichelli in the coming days!
