Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag modern setting shown in new screenshots

Four new shots of Abstergo Entertainment surface online, the setting for the modern storyline in Assassin Creed IV: Black Flag.

The present-day setting of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has been shown in four new screenshots.

Posted on AllGamesBeta, the work-in-progress screenshots show off Abstergo Entertainment, a new division of Abstergo Industries, the pharmaceutical front for series villains the Templar Order. A TV showing an Animus screen can also be seen.

The player will take on the role of an Abstergo Entertainment employee in the game.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's main campaign is set in 1715 and revolves around the Golden Age of Pirates. The main protagonist is Edward Kenway, grandfather of Assassin Creed III's Connor.

Earlier this week Ubisoft detailed the 60 minutes of exclusive content on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, which stars Aveline de Grandpre from the PlayStation Vita spin-off Assassin's Creed III: Liberation.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be released for the Xbox 360, Wii U, and PlayStation 3 on October 29. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions will follow.
