Prime Day 2022 Xbox Deals: Best Early Discounts Available Now

Prime Day is right around the corner on July 12, and we’re expecting to see some impressive Xbox deals when the festivities begin. Leading up to the event, however, you’ll find a bunch of great Xbox games already on sale. These aren’t quite the Xbox Prime Day 2022 deals that’ll be live in just two days, but there are some really good deals, nonetheless.

Some of these price cuts include big names such as Back 4 Blood, Elden Ring, and Guardians of the Galaxy. In fact, Back 4 Blood is now listed for just $12--giving you an affordable way to fill your summer with team-based, zombie-infested game nights. If you need something more family-friendly, the newly released Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is also discounted, along with dozens of other titles.

More early Prime Day deals

While Amazon is yet to release details about Prime Day game discounts, we’re expecting some impressive deals. If we’ve learned anything over the past few years, it’s that Prime Day is the perfect time to find discounts on Xbox games, controllers, accessories, and more. If none of the games below catch your eye, be sure to check back in on July 12. Amazon is also offering free games leading up to Prime Day, along with an easy way to earn a $10 gift card.

With the Xbox Series X and Series S now much easier to find in stock, we wouldn't be surprised to see Xbox console deals during Prime Day 2022.

Back 4 Blood

$12 ($60)

Back 4 Blood throws a few wrenches in the iconic Left 4 Dead formula. Aside from a bunch of new characters and locations, there’s a unique card system that lets you build the perfect loadout for your play style. It’s best experienced with a few friends, although you can always team up with other players online.

Elden Ring

$46 ($60)

The visceral combat of Dark Souls is a surprisingly good fit for open-world design, and Elden Ring proves it. When you’re not fighting the same boss for the 100th time, you’ll be able to explore the gorgeous, haunting biomes of the Lands Between. With hundreds of hours of content to work through and good reason to dive in for a second playthrough, there’s a lot of value in Elden Ring.

Far Cry 6

$15 ($60)

Another Far Cry, another over-the-top open-world playground. This time you’re on the fictional island of Yara. You’ll shoot, sneak, and stab your way through legions of enemies, all in an attempt to thwart the tyrannical government and bring peace to the tropical land.

Forza Horizon 5

$30 ($60)

Whether you’re a racing veteran or just stepping behind the wheel, Forza Horizon 5 is designed for you. Racing diehards will benefit from a staggering roster of vehicles, which offer unique stats and differentiated driving experiences. Newcomers, meanwhile, will love that they’re awarded experience points for just about everything they do--including driving through cacti or exploring the beautiful Mexican landscape.

Grand Theft Auto V

$20 ($40)

If you haven't picked up the cultural phenomenon that is GTA V, now’s your chance. The Xbox Series X version of the game is available for just $20, giving you an affordable way to roam around the fully realized city of Los Santos and pull off some adrenaline-pumping heists.

Guardians of the Galaxy

$30 ($60)

Guardians of the Galaxy was a bit of a surprise when it launched in 2021. Not only did it release just a few months after its reveal, but the game offered a surprisingly poignant storyline, one that deftly merged its high-flying antics with emotional moments. There’s also a fast-paced combat system backing the narrative, along with some eye-catching graphics.

Halo Infinite

$42 ($60)

Halo Infinite took a lot of gambles with its campaign, but it was worth the risk. You’ll explore an open world that’s filled with secrets, and you’re largely able to tackle its content as you see fit. Whether that means driving a Warthog into the heart of the action or picking Grunts off with a sniper, Halo Infinite gives you the freedom to fight your way. There’s also the nifty new Grappleshot, letting you pull in faraway objects, climb steep mountains, or hook onto your targets.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

$45 ($60)

Nine Skywalker storylines, hundreds of characters, and dozens of locations--The Skywalker Saga is the most ambitious Lego game yet. At this great new price, you’re essentially getting each unique plotline for just $5 bucks. That’s a lot of value for both Lego and Star Wars fans, although just about everyone will find some fun in this family-friendly Lego game.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

$45 ($60)

Stranger of Paradise is more action game than RPG, but that doesn’t mean it forgot to offer a deep progression system. Fast-paced combat is the star of the show, but as you work through its levels you’ll earn experience points that can be spent customizing your play style. This allows you to be anything from a melee powerhouse to spell-slinging mage, and everything in between.

Tales of Arise

$20 ($60)

If you’re looking for an affordable JPRG, you can’t do much better than this. Tales of Arise is the latest entry in the popular Tales series, although it makes a few big changes to the usual formula. For one, there’s a whole new battle system, which is a radical departure from the old Linear Motion Battle System. Then there are the graphics, which are a bit more realistic than their predecessors but still incredibly striking. Its narrative is just as complex, however, and your $20 investment will probably net you more than 40 hours of gameplay before rolling credits.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Next Level Edition

$55 ($70)

It’s Borderlands but with more magic. Tiny Tina is also the star of the show, as she’s running a Bunkers & Badasses campaign (essentially D&D) that’ll pit you against some of the deadliest enemies she can think up. The magical, gunslinging action is all the better with a group, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had running through its hilarious world as a solo player.
