Deathloop

$32 ($60)

Deathloop walked away with our 2021 Game of the Year award, and now you can pick it up for a great low price. The stylish shooter sees you reliving the same day until you manage to defeat eight high-priority targets before the sun sets. Tight gunplay, a constant sense of progression, and an intriguing story make it a must-play PS5 console exclusive.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut

$40 ($50)

There's nothing quite like Death Stranding, the most recent game from the mind of legendary developer Hideo Kojima. It's a game that people tend to either love or hate. Much of the gameplay revolves around stacking and carrying packages across a desolate open world. That said, the story is incredibly compelling, the performances are great, and the open world is unlike anything else out there. Everyone should at least try Death Stranding, and it looks even better on PS5.

Demon’s Souls

$50 ($70)

The game that kicked off the “Souls” frenzy has been given a second life on PS5. Reworked rolling mechanics, a fresh coat of paint, new weapons, and more make it great for both newcomers and Souls veterans--although only those with a lot of patience will make it to the final credits.

Elden Ring

$48 ($60)

Elden Ring is one of the biggest games of 2022. It takes traditional, brutal combat of Souls games and throws it into a sprawling open world. You’re largely free to tackle its quests as you see fit, and the option to venture off in new directions means you rarely feel trapped behind a particularly difficult boss.

Far Cry 6

$15 ($60)

Fight to liberate the tropical land of Yara from its tyrannical ruler--played by Giancarlo Esposito. The game is filled with Far Cry’s usual over-the-top action, and its variety of biomes (including beaches, bustling cities, and dense jungles) look stunning thanks to the power of PS5.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut

$50 ($70)

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is an enhanced version of the standout 2020 open-world action game. It features a brand-new setting and storyline that's well worth diving into. Ghost of Tsushima is a highly stylized action game. While the combat is satisfying, the main draw is the open world exploration and compelling characters. It's one of the best open-world games on PS5.

Ghostwire: Tokyo (Preowned)

$32 ($60)

Ghostwire: Tokyo drops you into the streets of Tokyo, which have been mysteriously abandoned and overrun by supernatural creatures. You’ll unravel this mystery while engaging in combat that makes use of elemental skills to decimate anything that gets in your way. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

$47 ($70)

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is the best way to play this memorable action-RPG. You’ll be treated to enhanced graphics, along with the option to toggle on a 4K resolution mode. This version of the game also comes with a new storyline featuring Yuffie, along with a few minor gameplay and combat updates.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits - Deluxe Edition

$40 ($50)

Despite being a modern release, Kena plays like a classic platformer from the PS2 era. You’ll navigate some simple platforming sections, take part in plenty of boss battles, and search for hundreds of collectibles as you help guide the deceased to the spirit world. This deluxe edition also comes with a bunch of goodies, including a digital album and in-game skins.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

$43 ($60)

With access to all nine Skywalker saga storylines, hundreds of playable characters, and dozens of planets to explore, there’s plenty here to keep Star Wars fans busy. Lost Judgment

$30 ($60)

Head to the streets of Tokyo as a crime-fighting lawyer. You’ll investigate a mysterious murder as you fight through enemies that get in your way using an arcade-inspired combat system. There are plenty of other quests to fill your time, including one that sees you teaming up with an adorable detective dog.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

$40 ($70)

The lombax’s first adventure on PS5 was a runaway success, offering fast-paced action, a ridiculous roster of weapons, and stunning graphics that bring Rift Apart’s cartoony world to life. You’ll also get to step into the shoes of a Rivet, a new playable character with different moves than Ratchet.

Returnal (Preowned)

$44 ($70)

Returnal is not for the faint of heart. Its bullet-hell action within a roguelike structure will put your skills to the test, although it’s the challenging boss fights that’ll really get your adrenaline going. The third-person shooter sees you stranded on a mysterious planet, and you’ll need to unravel its mysteries if you want to make it home alive. GameStop has preowned copies of Returnal for $44, while Best Buy is selling new copies for $50.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

$40 ($60)

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is available for $20 off at Amazon. Even if you have a PS5, you should pick up the PS4 version, as it comes with a free upgrade and is cheaper right now. This is a great pick for local co-op gaming with the family.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

$45 ($60)

If you don’t mind a quirky story (and lots of talk about chaos), Stranger of Paradise is hiding a surprisingly fun game. It has fun action combat, plenty of unlockables, and skill trees let you customize your play style. And once you get used to its wild demeanor, the story actually offers more than just a few laughs.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Next Level Edition

Take the frantic gunplay of Borderlands, mix in some magical abilities, and through it into a fantasy setting, and you’ve got Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. This Next Level Edition is essentially the “new-gen” version of the game, offering improved graphics and performance on PS5.
