Beyoncé receives a first-place journalism award for her article in Essence.

+ Is there nothing Beyoncé can't do? The multitalented mom and "World's Most Beautiful Woman" won the first-place prize for The New York Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists' magazine category. Her first person story -- "Eat, Play, Love" -- appeared in Essence's July 2011 issue. (Billboard)

+ During Justin Bieber's "MTV First" interview last night, he revealed his next single is "going to be better" than "Boyfriend." Um, HOW!? Also, He plans to release a song in honor of his mom, Pattie Mallette, on Mother's Day.
