+ Pusha T announced the release date for Cruel Summer, Kanye West's G.O.O.D. music compilation. "G.O.O.D. music compilation coming August 7," Pusha T said on Hot 97 yesterday. (Rap-Up)

+ Katy Perry's adding label boss to her long list of achievements, as she's launching her own record label. She told The Hollywood Reporter, "I'm going to try to avoid the things that take away any fighting chance for an artist to have financial success." (Billboard)

+ Apparently Hollywood loves Rihanna as much as we do. The "Battleship" star has been tapped to lead in the animated film, "Happy Smekday!" The film is slated for release in 2014. (MTV News)
