Buzz Bites (9/6/13): Katy Perry Reveals Her ‘Prism’ Album Artwork On ‘Good Morning America’

+ Katy Perry has unveiled the album art for her upcoming Prism this morning during a segment on “Good Morning America.” Later, Katy tweeted the cover, captioning: “If you missed it on the JUMBOTRON on @GMA, here it is – my #PRISM album cover, shot by the wonderful Ryan McGinley!” Prism streets Oct. 22. Avril Lavigne‘s self-titled album (out Nov. 5) will feature 13 songs, and guest artists will include hubby Chad Kroeger of Nickelback on “Let Me Go” and Marilyn Manson on “Bad Girl.” (MTV News)

+ And speaking of “Good Morning America,” the program will feature some more star power over the next two weeks. Katy Perry appeared today, Lady Gaga is slated for Sept. 9, and Britney Spears is scheduled to perform “GMA” on Sept. 17. (E!)

+ Paramore‘s prepping for their headlining North American tour beginning Oct. 15 in Seattle. Frontwoman Hayley Williams explains that they’ve had time to add extra “elbow grease” to the shows: “So bigger production, bigger stages, obviously. We want to be a band that puts on a larger than life show.” (Billboard)

+ We’re mere weeks away from the Season 5 premiere of “Glee.” (Sept. 26, to be exact!) Watch the opening episode promo, featuring snippets of The Beatles‘ “All You Need Is Love,” and be on the lookout for Demi Lovato and Adam Lambert, who will join the cast later on in the season. (Just Jared Jr.)

+ We’ve spent the last week wondering just what Arcade Fire had in store for us on Monday, as they’ve been teasing that something would happen on Sept. 9 at 9 p.m. ET. Well, filmmaker Anton Corbijn spilled the beans, confirming that the band will release the video for Reflektor‘s title track, which he directed. (MTV Hive)

+ A Broadway musical drawing from the late Tupac Shakur‘s music catalog is in the works. Noted director Kenny Leon says that Holla If You Hear Me is an anti-violence, “unconditional love story.” While it will feature 2Pac’s music, the production will not be a biography of the rapper. (MTV News)
