Call of Juarez: Gunslinger hitting XBLA, PSN, PC in 2013

New downloadable Old West shooter from Techland arriving next year; players take on role of bounty hunter, taking on Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and Pat Garrett.

The fourth Call of Juarez title will arrive in 2013. Ubisoft today announced Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, the first in the series to arrive for downloadable platforms Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is in development at Techland, the shop that has built every entry in the series, and takes players back to the Old West. Gamers will take on the role of a bounty hunter, whose directive is to take down some of the West's most notorious gunslingers, including Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and Pat Garrett.

The game will boast a Concentration mode, a previous staple of the series, in which players can target a number of enemies and dispatch a host of bullets in rapid succession. In addition, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger features a series-first skill progression system, which will allow players to specifically design their own style by selecting abilities they wish to develop.

The most recent Call of Juarez title was 2011's Call of Juarez: The Cartel. That game was developed by Techland and took place in modern-day Los Angeles and Mexico. Previous games in the series, the 2006 original and its 2009 sequel Bound in Blood, were set during historical time periods.
