New Action Figures Based on The Flash and Arrow TV Series and Batman: Arkham Knight Video Game Set to Debut in 2016

Fan-Favorite Batman: The Animated Series Action Figure Line Premieres First-Ever Commercial Starring Ultimate Comic Fan Kevin Smith and Writer and Producer Paul Dini

Burbank, CA – July 9, 2015 – DC Collectibles, the exclusive line of toys and collector items from DC Entertainment, unveiled today at Comic-Con International: San Diego an exciting new product slate including a stunning 12’’ statue line based on the highly anticipated Warner Bros. Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Debuting in 2016, the film-inspired statues will be joined by a wide array of new action figures based on multimedia properties including the hit Arrow and The Flash TV series from Warner Bros. Television, the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Knight video game from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Rocksteady Studios and much more.

“From comics to TV shows to films and video games, this year more than ever before, DC Collectibles has an all-star product line-up with something for everyone,” said DC Entertainment Vice President of Creative Services Kevin Kiniry. “Fans are going to love the Batman v Superman line and I’m incredibly proud of the team’s dedication to new, creative ideas that bring these characters to life.”

 

 

DC Collectibles also announced the expansion of the best-selling action figure line from Warner Bros. Animation’s Batman: The Animated Series and debuted the first-ever commercial starring the figures. Produced in conjunction with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the studio behind Cartoon Network and Adult Swim’s Emmy® Award-winning Robot Chicken, the commercial features characters from the toy line including Batman, Catwoman, and Two-Face, among others. There are even a couple surprise cameos from legendary comic fan and acclaimed director Kevin Smith and Batman: The Animated Series writer/producer Paul Dini. Totaling 90 seconds of Batman: The Animated Series fun, the action figure commercial will air on television screens across the country this summer.

 

 

Other new products scheduled for 2016 include two new designer series action figure lines inspired by the intricate art styles of comic book artist super-stars Lee Bermejo and Darwyn Cooke. There will also be additions to the all-new DC Comics Icons 6’’ action figure line and the Greg Capullo designer series action figure line.
