EA Humble Bundle closes at $10.5 million

More than 2.1 million bundles sold brought in millions of dollars for charity.

The Humble Origin Bundle from Electronic Arts closed last night, bringing in more than $10.5 million from the sale of more than 2.1 million bundles.

"Thanks for helping make Humble Bundle history!" the company said on Twitter.

Almost all of the $10.5 million will go to charities like the Human Rights Campaign, Watsi, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, American Cancer Society, and American Red Cross.

The Humble Origin Bundle allowed gamers to pay a minimum of $1 for Dead Space 3, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Crysis 2: Maximum Edition, Medal of Honor, and Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box.

Those who chose to pay more than the average received Battlefield 3, The Sims 3: Starter Pack (which includes The Sims 3 and expansions Late Night Expansion Pack and High-End Loft Stuff), as well as Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising and classic god game Populous.
