Activision reportedly working on upcoming Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 game to coincide with launch of Fast and Furious 6 this May.
A new Fast and Furious game may be on the way from Activision. CVG spotted EB Games listings for Fast and Furious: Showdown, which suggest the unannounced action game will launch for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U this May to coincide with the theatrical release of Fast and Furious 6.
An Australian Classifications Board rating for Fast and Furious: Showdown indicates Firebrand Games is developing the title for Activision. The studio, which has offices in Scotland, Florida, and Louisiana, previously developed NASCAR Unleashed and the Wii and 3DS versions of Need for Speed: The Run, among other titles.
According to the Fast and Furious: Showdown product description, the game will feature heists, hijacking, and shootouts in a storyline that bridges the events from Fast 5 and previous movies to the upcoming Fast and Furious 6
The game will reportedly feature 31 missions played across eight chapters set in eight different locations from around the world. The game's description reveals Fast and Furious: Showdown will feature mission objectives, including winning races, hijacking vehicles, and stealing cargo, among others.
Fast and Furious: Showdown has not been announced and an Activision representative was not immediately available to comment.
