For those of you who've been eagerly anticipating Justin Timberlake's return to music, that day has come. Sort of.

Timberlake has been hired by fiancée Jessica Biel to serve as the music supervisor and composer for her new film "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea."

According to The Wrap, "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" revolves around a grieving widower who attempts to get over his wife's death through a new friendship with an imaginative young girl. Biel will not only star in the film, but serve as a producer under her production company Iron Ocean Films. Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Watchmen") will play the widower and Chloë Grace Moretz ("Kick-Ass," "Dark Shadows") will play the imaginative new friend.

There's no word yet as to whether Timberlake might also make an appearance in the film, but it would make sense, given the singer/actor's recent self-imposed vacation from the music industry to concentrate on building a film career.

The big question here is if Timberlake's musical compositions and supervision will translate into actual new music from the onetime chart-topper. Only time will tell. The 31-year-old has kept himself very busy in recent years with his work in noteworthy films like "The Social Network," along with his involvement in MySpace and his venture into the world of home décor for HomeMint.

This is the first professional collaboration between longtime lovebirds Timberlake and Biel, who got engaged over the holidays last year and are said to be planning a big summer wedding.
