Listen To Emeli Sande’s Cover Of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’ From ‘The Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack

Jay-Z spits a rather chaotic verse about wealth in a preview of his "100$ Bill" From "The Great Gatsby" Soundtrack

Beyoncé's "Crazy In Love" is, like, A SONG, you know? Meaning that you don't DARE cover it unless you have balls and/or pipes of steel. That said, if anyone's got the chops to cover a Beyoncé song (aside from maybe Jennifer Hudson or Xtina) it's U.K. breakout songstress Emeli Sandé. Plus, it's kiiiiind of an honor to be asked to cover "Crazy In Love" by "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack producer AND Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z. Not to mention the fact that Beyoncé, who appears on the "Gatsby" soundtrack as well covering Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black," isn't even singing her own song. Can anyone say... PRESSURE?

Featuring the Bryan Ferry Orchestra (led by Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music!), Emeli's version of Bey's classic is a FULL 180 from the polished R&B pop version that we've come to know and love. While Emeli maintains Beyoncé's exact melody, "Crazy In Love"'s new horn-filled backing track sounds like something straight out of the roaring '20s, which -- surprise, surprise -- is exactly when "The Great Gatsby" takes place. And sure, we might always love Bey's original best, but Emeli's rendition is certainly a worthwhile reinterpretation. Plus, if Jay likes it, then Beyoncé likes it, which basically means it's been co-signed by two of the most important musicians on Earth. Is there really anything else to discuss?
