Lost actor teases “new Uncharted”

Dominic Monaghan of Lost and Lord of the Rings fame says he is "really excited" about unannounced game.

Lost and The Lord of the Rings actor Dominic Monaghan may have revealed an all-new Uncharted game.

Speaking during a conference call regarding his work on the live-action series for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, Monaghan referenced a "new Uncharted" game when discussing his thoughts on the industry.

"I'll always stay focused on the gaming world and see what's coming up," he said. "The new Uncharted I'm really excited to see how that's going to be and obviously both new gaming systems."

The most recent core Uncharted game was Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, which released in November 2011 on PlayStation 3.

Series creator Naughty Dog recently shipped The Last of Us. The company has no new announced games.

Monaghan also said during the conference that he has a game idea that he is "hopefully" going to pitch to 2K, though he did not give any details on what this game may be.

Monaghan--who played the Hobbit Merry in The Lord of the Rings and Charlie on Lost--may not be a part of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified itself, but said he would be up for playing the lead role in a game someday.

"Yeah, of course. It's like saying 'would you eat a whole pizza?' Yes, I would do that," he said.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified launches August 20 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The final installment in the live-action video series was released today and is available below.
