"It was kind of back-to-back filming Birds {of Prey] and filming this, so I was kind of like, oof, I need a break from Harley because she's exhausting," Robbie said. "I don't know when we're next going to see her. I'm just as intrigued as everyone else is."

Robbie first portrayed the anti-hero in the first Suicide Squad film. Her next film, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), was one of the last films to hit theaters in early 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down theaters all over the world.
