Mattel’s MOTUC 30th Anniversary Cy-Chop

The Masters of the Universe Classics 30th Anniversary sub-line is coming to a close.  Tomorrow fans will have the opportunity to pick up Cy-Chop the next to the last figure in the 30th Anniversary sub-line.  Cy-Chop was created by MOTUC designer Terry Higuchi.

He’ll gladly lend a scissor-hand to anyone…  anyone who pays his price, that is. This former thief and current one-man cyborg chop shop is the fifth of six original figures celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Masters of the Universe®. Designed by Mattel’s Terry Higuchi, bounty hunter Cy-Chop™ comes with removable blade hands that can be replaced with weapons from other figures (such as the Roboto® arm attachments or the Spikor™ tridents). Add him to your collection next to his former buddy Kronis™ at your own peril!

Cy-Chop is a fun figure and a real mish-mash that fits in well with the overall line.  He uses Beast Man arms and legs, standard furry loin cloth,  has a see through torso with visible mechanics and guts, some GIANT feature and he has a Micronaut-like head.  That’s the trifecta of MOTU cool.  Plus he’s a bounty hunter AND a new member of the HORDE!  The other great feature is that his giant scissor hands are removable and can be replaced with other MOTUC compatible parts or Spy Monkey Creations compatible parts. Terry is a designer on the line and a huge Masters fan so he plugged into what makes a fun MOTU character.  Cy-chop is the last of the “designer” figures in the 30th anniversary sub line and the next to the last figure in that line.   Castle Grayskullman, the winner of the 2012 “Design a Character Contest” will be the final figure.

You can order Cy-Chop October 15th from MattyCollector.com.
