MOTU NYCC Art Show To Benefit Ronald McDonald House 10/10-10/24

Announced over the weekend at Power-Con 2012 is the charity Masters of the Universe art show that will be on display next month at Toy Tokyo in NYC.

If you’re going to be in New York in October, here’s your chance to own a piece of original MOTU art and do a good deed for Ronald McDonald House in New York! To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Masters of the Universe®, acclaimed gallery Toy Tokyo Underground in New York City will host a show of original art work created by top comic book and industry artists. Approximately 20 pieces will be available to the public during the two-week exhibit, with Mattel donating all of its proceeds directly to Ronald McDonald House, a program that provides a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.

To launch the show, there will be a public opening on Wednesday, October 10th, as well as a private celebrity event on Friday, October 12th. The public opening gives toy fans and collectors the chance to purchase the Temple of Darkness Sorceress® figure for $22, a full 24 hours before it’s available at New York Comic-Con! This special traveling figure features an all white/silver deco and opening wings, and includes the Zoar staff and a power orb holder. Better still, the first 500 visitors on opening night get a free art print!
