New Song: All Time Low, ‘The Reckless And The Brave’

All Time Low

All Time Low's dreamed up a new single.

All Time Low's never been known to follow the rules. The band's "The Reckless And The Brave" is an anthem about going your own way, a feeling we and our dad's Fleetwood Mac LPs can get behind. The track finds frontman Alex Gaskarth singing of "breaking out of a town called suburbia," and now he's "got a van, got a chance, got my dignity." The punk rockers' dreams are almost as big as the "Reckless" chorus, which will bury itself in your head like those mind-controlling worms from "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." Just way less gross and worm-y.

With all this inspiration going around, maybe All Time Low and Justin Bieber should say "Never Say Never" on a collab track, though we're not sure that'd go over well on the band's current Warped Tour headlining dates. We have a dream that all our favorite musicians love each other, you guys! But it looks like the group will be holding it down in the punk world for a while longer: All Time Low says the track's a good preview of their upcoming fifth album, expected later this year: "It sets the tone perfectly for the whole record," according to drummer Rian Dawson. If you listen to it 10 times in a row, you can *almost* hear the new album. Deep breath! Fingers crossed they get reckless and put it out, like, tomorrow.
