NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ One Direction, Take Me Home: On the quintet's sophomore album, the puppy- and fun-loving 1D are poised to take over even more airwaves. "Live While We're Young" is already a record-breaking hit, and like the sunny vibes found on their single, the album plays like the soundtrack to your current crush, from the strutty "Kiss You," to the acoustic ballad "Little Things" and "Last First Kiss." There's also the dance-pop of "C'mon C'mon," the catchy "Back For You," and the yearning "They Don't Know About Us."

+ Christina AguileraLotus: Aspiring singers on "The Voice" look up to coach Xtina for her vocal chops and success, but inspiration goes both ways, she told MTV News. "Understanding and seeing firsthand through the eyes of... aspiring artists, at the beginning of their journey, to be a part of their journey... and to sort of regain some of that back for myself," said Christina. Watch the sexy, murderous "Your Body" video (+1 on the killer stilettos), the piano ballad "Blank Page," and the club-banger "Let There Be Love."

+ Various ArtistsThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2: The time has come, you guys: the last installment of "The Twilight Saga." It's our final moments with Edward, Bella, Jacob... *sheds tear* #TeamEdwardJacobSandwich. But cheer up: The soundtrack is here for us to relive our fave moments for eternity. Highlights include Green Day's "The Forgotten," Ellie Goulding's "Bittersweet," St. Vincent's "The Antidote," Passion Pit's "Where I Come From," and Feist's "Fire In The Water."

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

+ The WeekndTrilogy: Abel Tesfaye packages and remasters his three mixtapes (House of BalloonsThursday, and Echoes of Silence) and adds three new songs to the set. It's chilling R&B that feels both eerily detached and seductive at the same time. In his haunting "Wicked Games" video, he sings about his heart and pain and begs "just tell me 'you love me" but appears ambivalent to his lover's charms. Also listen to the piano-laden, heart-wrenching "Twenty Eight," the new, pining "Valerie," and the noir "The Zone" featuring Drake.

Green Day, ¡Dos!: While Green Day may have canceled tour dates for now, their music rocks on. They drop the second album of their trilogy, (¡Uno!¡Dos!, ¡Tré!), with 13 pumping tracks. ¡Dos! is a high-octane affair, from garage rock-tipped burners ("Makeout Party") to some trademark Green Day pop-punk stops, like on "Ashley" and "Lazy Bones." Also, check out the hook-laden "Stray Heart" video.

+ SoundgardenKing Animal: It's been about 16 years (!!!!) since the grunge titans have released a studio album, but their new effort doesn't sound like they even skipped a beat in time. Picking up where they left off, Chris Cornell's hallmark wail says it all on "Been Away Too Long," which caterwauls with heavy-riffing Kim Thayil's guitar. Also check out the rhythmic gymnastics of "Non-State Actor" and "By Crooked Steps," courtesy of bassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron.

+ Whitney HoustonI Will Always Love You: Nine months ago we lost one of pop's greatest singers, but her iconic status will live on forever. Her posthumous album comprises her greatest hits, such as the title track, "Greatest Love Of All," and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)." It also features the refashioned duet "I Look To You" with R. Kelly and the previously unreleased "Never Give Up."

+ Lana Del ReyBorn To Die – Paradise Edition: The double-disc album includes the original 15-track deluxe version of Born To Die, along with new mini-record Paradise. Watch the video for "Bel Air," where Lana's stunning good looks are further accentuated while draped in clouds and swaths of color. Also check out the conceptually themed 10-minute short film she made for "Ride," which is both an ode to nomadic life and freedom, as well as a seeming tribute to her American ideal (where she also looks stunning, natch).

+ Never Shout Never, Indigo: Christofer Drew Ingle, also known as the dude who fronts Never Shout Never, releases their fourth effort, Indigo. Watch the rollicking "Magic" video where the Missouri-based group perform actual magic tricks (and Ingle shows off some pretty awesome tats, like, all over his bod). And also check out the piano-driven, romantic "Hazel Eyez."

+ Colette CarrSkitszo Part 1 EP: This is the first in four EP installments (with each dropping every two months) of what will make up the budding rapper's debut album. A fifth release will include all four parts (The Skitszo Collection) along with four additional songs.
