Sega teases Castle of Illusion remake

New video suggests publisher to release new version of 1990 Sega Genesis Mickey Mouse game this summer.

It appears DuckTales won't be the only classic game to receive a high-definition update this summer. Sega today released a teaser video suggesting Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse is headed for a re-release this summer.

The 37-second video (below) contains imagery similar to that of the original game, including marching toy enemy soldiers and a shadowy figure that appears to be main villain Queen Mizrabel.

In addition, the video ends with 1990-2013 flashed on the bottom, suggesting this new game will be a remake of the original.

No platforms for the game were mentioned in the teaser trailer. However, a Brazilian product rating lists the game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U.
