*Some Assembly Required Opening Reception at iam8bit

An exhibition of 40+ NEVER-BEFORE-MADE action figures, inspired by TV, film, video games, and popular culture characters

LOS ANGELES (July 20, 2018) – iam8bit is hosting an opening reception for *Some Assembly Required, an exhibition of more than 40 hand-crafted action figures by artist Dano Brown. The reception will take place on Wednesday, July 25 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the iam8bit gallery in Los Angeles and is free to the general public.

These handcrafted action figures created by Dano Brown reference characters in film, television and video games that never received the plastic toy treatment. Among the collection includes Bob Ross from The Joy of Painting, Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, Captain N from Captain N: The Game Master, and many more. Brown ingeniously hobbles together rogue parts and pieces to make his creations from soup to nuts.

*Some Assembly Required will run until August 19 at iam8bit, 2147 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026.
