Some Canceled Toy Announcements To Break Your Heart

The news came out this week from two different companies of canceled products that I know a lot of us were looking forward to.

First up is ZICA Toys cancelling their 2nd series of “Six Million Dollar Man” 3.75″ retro figures.   We had heard the line was in jepordy and were waiting to see what the per-orders would come in at… and it appears it was not enough.   BigBadToyStore.com started cancelling people’s pre-orders and then ZICA confirmed the cancellation through a trusted source.   But don’t worry they still have some exciting things in the pipeline that you will hear about soon.

And Diamond Select Toys mentioned on their Facebook page in response to a question from their latest installment of ASK DST that the proposed upcoming Marvel Select X-Men: Days of Future Past Mystique figure had been canceled.   We learned of this figure right before Toy Fair and even saw a prototype of the figure at the DST booth.  No photography was allowed of the figure, but it looked fantastic.  The figure and base were later revealed at the 2014 C2E2 convention.   Who wouldn’t want a blue Jennifer Lawrence figure?   Apparently Jennifer herself as the announcement came from Zach:

“Mystique has been canceled. Unfortunately, Jennifer Lawrence declined to participate.”

While there are still plenty of great things coming from both these companies, you can mark MS Xmen:DOFP Mystique and $6MDM Wave 2 off of your Christmas lists.
