Star Spotting: Selena Gomez Mugs Like A BAWSE On The Cover Of i-D Magazine (PHOTOS)

Selena Gomez gets moody and broody on the cover and pages of i-D Magazine.

Selena Gomez is doing the mag's iconic cover wink! Confused? Flip "i-D" on its side.

So, we're STILL waiting for that official make-us-flawless-like-Selena photo filter (yo, Instagram, any day now), but oogling the perfection that is Selena Gomez's i-D Pre-Fall 2013 magazine cover will definitely hold us over till then. Even though Selena's appeared on MANNNY magazine covers in her career, we were confused about this one at first, 'cause, um, why is there a mega-huge pop star on the cover of a more niche-oriented fashion, art, culture, and design publication? Then it all made sense -- Selena did design those Adidas NEO shoes! Also, Selena's face is pretty much the epitome of design perfection, and putting her on the cover is like offering the art and design worlds their next collective muse on a silver platter. (Very clever, i-D!)

Selena Gomez broods like crazy on the pages of i-D magazine.

Coincidentally, this is how we'd react if Selena were NOT featured in the spread.

Obvs, the interior shot of the "Slow Down" singer is equally stunning, but Selena didn't just show up to brood for the camera -- she also did some heartfelt reflecting in the accompanying interview. She touches on her love of fashion, photo shoots, and how turning 21 has made her want to evolve as a performer, but our fave highlight is when she reminisces about attending a Britney Spears concert when she was just 7 years old! Selena says, "The Baby One More Time… concert was amazing. I sat all the way up in the nosebleeds and I could barely see her, but I remember it being the best day of my life." OK, so this might be a stretch, but does anyone else hope that what Sel's really trying to say here is: "BRIT, it's about time that we worked together! How about on your next album?" (OMG, PLEASE?!)
