The 8 Most Ridiculous Things For Sale In The Star Wars Celebration 2022 Store

Returning to Star Wars Celebration for the first time since 2019 also meant the opportunity to pick up some brand new convention-exclusive items for the first time in way too long. There are always exclusive goodies at Celebration and this year was thankfully no different. What's more, it's the 20th anniversary of Episode II: Attack of the Clones, so of course, there was plenty to commemorate that.

Still, as good as a lot of the items for sale in the Celebration store were, there were also a number of true oddities. Things you see and you wonder who, exactly, thought Star Wars fans needed these. Did we really need anti-sand branded flip-flops? It seems the answer is yes.

So take a look below at the eight most ludicrous items from the Celebration store. Then, let's all be honest and admit we want each and every item. After you're done with that, don't miss out on our deep dive look at The Mandalorian Experience, plus the best cosplay from the convention.

1. Alphabet pillows

Ever wanted to learn the alphabet using Star Wars characters while trying to nap? Of course not, but this year's Celebration has a line of items to help kids learn their ABCs the Jedi way. This pillow was absolutely the strangest offering of the bunch.

2. Jedi baseball

Nothing says Star Wars like a wiffleball bat, right? What can we say about this branded bat and ball, other than whoever was handling the merch for Celebration must have gotten a deal on these?

3. Plush Frog Lady

Everyone's favorite protective mother got her own plush at Celebration. Yes, the Frog Lady whose eggs Baby Yoda kept eating in Season 2, as if he was some sort of horrible monster, is here to stay as a plush. And as a nice bonus, the egg tank is strapped to her back.

4. Bantha punch bowl

Alright, so there are a number of Star Wars tiki mugs. This one seems incredibly extra, though. It's technically a huge mug shaped like a bantha, but with what seems to be a shot glass shaped to look like Din Djarin and Grogu. They call it a punch bowl but don't try filling this with punch to serve all of your friends at a party. Still, we have a feeling that this one was a big seller.

5. Attack of the Clones sand garden

Alright, so this year is the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars Celebration figured out what needed to be noted most from that movie and it's how Anakin Skywalker simply hates sand. No, seriously. There are a few different items dedicated to his hatred of sand. This one might be the most ridiculous, as it's essentially a little sandbox for your home. Hopefully, you don't hate it as well.

6. This towel doesn't like sand

They called it a blanket, but it's shaped like a towel. Regardless, it's yet another reminder that Anakin is kind of a jerk about sand. He's kind of a jerk about a lot of things, but especially sand.

7. I don't like sand-als

Okay, so that's not the official name for these Attack of the Clones flip flops, but they should be. They are adorned with photos of Anakin and Padme staring at each other, but since they don't have an iconic "I love you"/"I know" exchange like Han and Leia, the underside of the sandals, of course, says "I don't like sand." So if you walk through them in the sand, it might leave behind that particular message in your footsteps. What a way to spend 20 bucks.

8. The official unofficial Force training kit

Honestly, what can we say about this other than it's a box of fake rocks. Seriously, it's a bunch of pieces of foam painted to look like rocks. That's what you'd be spending 20 dollars on. They don't give you powers and aren't even actual rocks. Get 'em while they last.
