While Peter Parker showed a disgruntled Johnny Storm around the new home of Parker Industries—the Baxter Building—the Zodiac ramped up their evil plans in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #3. Spider-Man saved Aunt May from War Goblins in Africa in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #4, and later teamed with S.H.I.E.L.D. to take down the Zodiac in London in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #5, not realizing its leader, Scorpio, stood as a major stockholder in Parker’s company.

Spidey and Deadpool confronted a fake Dormammu together in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #1, but the Merc with a Mouth took a contract to kill Peter Parker, believing him to be evil in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #2. To complicate things, after a mission to Bolivia against the Cult of Entropy in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #3, Deadpool decided to kill Spidey first, then his “boss.”

A corrupted Cloak and Dagger’s new boss, Mister Negative, released a new drug onto the streets of Shanghai in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #6. After faking corruption by Negative in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #7, Parker began to search for an antidote to the drug, and in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #8 set a trap for his foe to defeat him and release Cloak and Dagger from his control. Meanwhile, the Zodiac had infiltrated Parker Industries with a mole.

Spidey and Nick Fury tracked Scorpio from orbit in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #9, but the wallcrawler wound up attacked by the villain upon returning to Earth. Scorpio threatened to ruin Parker Industries in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #10, but our hero managed to temporarily beat him by sending him one year into the future in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #11. On the sidelines, Otto Octavius’ consciousness took more control of Peter Parker’s robotic helpmate, the Living Brain.

Spidey double-dated with Deadpool in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #4, mixed it up with Mysterio in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #5, and suffered through the production of “Deadpool: The Movie” in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #6. The wallcrawler found his hands full, though, when he met a future-seeing Inhuman named Ulysses in CIVIL WAR II #1, and witnessed the death of Bruce Banner from an arrow shot by Hawkeye in CIVIL WAR II #3.

In CIVIL WAR II: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1, Spidey offered Ulysses a kind of internship at Parker Industries, but the young man predicted a former-crook-now-employee of the company would attack the hero soon. As if to fulfill Ulysses’ vision, Clayton Cole donned the armor of Clash in CIVIL WAR II: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #2 to fight the Robot Master in CIVIL WAR II: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #3, and ultimately turn to the dark side in CIVIL WAR II: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #4 when Spidey asked him to step back from trying to be a hero.

The webslinger battled the Ghost with Iron Man in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #12, while a would-be-champion named Regent rose up and began to steal powers from super heroes in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #13, beginning with Miles Morales, the other Spider-Man. The rest of the Avengers fell into Regent’s clutches in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #14 until Mary Jane Watson suited up as the Iron Spider to help Spidey dethrone the bad guy once and for all in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #15.

What is Marvel Unlimited?

After reminiscing over an early team-up in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #7, the unlikely duo tracked down Patient Zero in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #8 and scrapped with a girl mutated with their own DNA called Itsy Bitsy in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #9. The girl turned on Patient Zero, her creator, in SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #10, and ran off to become a crimefighter all on her own.

Peter Parker learned of a company known as New U and their rejuvenation technology in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #16, while a new female Electro killed Parker Industries associate Hobie Brown in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #17. Otto Octavius moved his mind into an octobot after the destruction of the Living Brain in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #18, and Aunt May’s husband Jay Jameson died in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #19.
