Watch Beyonce Sing ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ To Her Devoted Detroit Beyhivers (VIDEO)

Beyoncé: "This song is dedicated to Detroit!"

Though we'd already seen a grainy, fan-taken video of Beyoncé singing Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" during her Auburn Hills, Mich., stop on "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour," we are SO touched that Bey's team has gone above and bey-ond to produce a music video-quality clip to document the heartwarming moment. Detroit is going through some rough times right now (the city filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection a mere two days before the concert), but if anyone can lift a city's spirits in even the worst of times, it's Beyoncé.

Uploaded to Bey's Tumblr this morning, the black-and-white video alternates between shots of the queen herself, her screaming fans, and powerful still images -- closed-down record studios, automobile assembly lines, and half-empty skyscrapers. The shots simultaneously capture Detroit's glorious past, its shaky present, and hopeful future. There's also a montage in the middle, spotlighting famous Motor City musicians such as Aaliyah, The White Stripes, Eminem, and Stevie Wonder. And just in case the opening "This song is dedicated to Detroit!" wasn't moving enough, Bey reaffirms her support for the city near the end...

Beyonce has a message to her Detroit fans.

May Beyoncé's love heal this city.

Wow, Beyoncé actually is basically a Batman-level superhero. We KNEW it. WHO CALLED IT?! Bey, you totally deserve that VMA nomination for Best Video With A Social Message. FTR, though, this absolutely does NOT let you off the hook for all of those "Standing On The Sun" teasers, but it definitely helps. #ToughLove
