Weekly Recap: PS4 Beats Xbox One Again, E3 Rumors, Final Oculus Revealed

THE BIG STUFF:

PS4 Outsells Xbox One in May: After the Xbox One beat the PS4 in April, Sony took back the top spot in May, becoming the top-selling console in the United States for the month, according to NPD data. As you could have probably guessed, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was the best-selling game.

THE OTHER STUFF:

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Supremacy DLC, the game's third add-on, won't be exclusive to Xbox for much longer. Activision this week announced that the DLC will arrive for PlayStation consoles and PC on July 2. All Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC is released first on Xbox.

Did you back the Bard's Tale IV Kickstarter? If you pledged at least $20, you're getting free games--and not just any free games, but the first three games in the Bard's Tale series. Nice!

You probably never asked for it, but it's happening. Sega has announced a limited-time in-game event for its endless runner Sonic Dash, which will see the Angry Birds franchise meet the famous hedgehog.

Like many other AAA games, it now looks like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will have microtransactions. That's according to a new report, which you can read here.

What were the top "trending" games of May on YouTube? You probably could have guessed it, but The Witcher 3 came out on top. The next entry, however, may surprise you: Life is Strange. See all ten here.

Sony's game-streaming service PlayStation Now continues to grow. This week, the service expanded to its first non-Sony device: Samsung Smart TVs.

There is a new Alone in the Dark game and it's available now. Atari this week launched Alone in the Dark: Illumination for PC, which is now on Steam at a special discount through June 22.

iOS and Android app Band has released a new version, 4.0, that, among other things, allows users to make their groups "public" so they can meet new players and sync up with other guild and clan members. Read more about it here.
