Deus Ex: The Fall coming to PC — and there’s no microtransactions

Deus Ex: The Fall, Square Enix's 2013 mobile game, is coming to PC. The game will launch March 25 through Steam for $£7.99/€9.99/$9.99. If you preorder now (or pick up the game for a limited time after launch), you'll also get a free copy of the original Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, Square Enix said today on its website.

Perhaps most notably, the PC version of Deus Ex: The Fall will not include any microtransactions whatsoever. The mobile version sells for $7 on iOS and Android, and you can also pay anywhere from $2-$13 for additional credit and experience boost packs. But these won't show up at all on the PC version.

Eidos Montreal is currently working on the next entry in the Deus Ex franchise for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game is part of a new program Eidos is calling the Deus Ex: Universe, which is an initiative aimed at creating an "ongoing, expanding, and connected game world" built across a generation of core games.

A Deus Ex feature film--directed by Exorcism director Scott Derrickson--is also in the works at CBS Films.
