Cyber Monday 2019 Origin PC Deals: Sims 4 For $5, Need For Speed Heat For $40

Black Friday has come and gone, but lots of the sales marking the retail holiday are continuing through its online counterpart, Cyber Monday and beyond. Whether you're in the market for games, hardware, or accessories., there are a whole lot of discounts to choose from. If you're in the market for some PC games, Electronic Arts' Origin online portal is already running its sale, featuring some deep discounts from EA's catalog--as well as on some non-EA games, too.

Origin's Black Friday sale runs until December 3 and sees cuts on digital PC game prices as deep as 85%. Though the latest entry into the Star Wars game pantheon, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, isn't on sale, you can still get a Star Wars fix with Battlefront 2 at $16--a 60% savings.

Among the most notable discounts right now is on Need For Speed Heat. It's already down to $40 from the usual price of $60, despite only being released on November 8. GameSpot gave Heat a 7 out of 10, with reviewer Richard Wakeling writing, "With only a select few events, no discernible difference between each car's handling, and a simplistic driving model, Need for Speed Heat does stumble into repetition during its final few hours. It's not quite a rip-roaring return to form, then, but this latest entry puts the Need for Speed series back on the right track. ...Need for Speed Heat may not revolutionize racing games, but it's the best the series has been in a long, long time."

A few other titles released this year are also seeing their prices cut down. You can snag Madden 20 for $36 (40% off), FIFA 20 for $30, (a savings of 50%), and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville for $30 (a 25% cut). There's also BioWare's live service game Anthem, which is down to $18 for its Standard Edition and $24 for its Deluxe Edition (previously $60 and $80, respectively). If you're a subscriber to EA's Origin Access subscription service, you get an additional 10% off Black Friday deals, as well.

Check out a list of the most notable discounts below. We've also got a ton more deals on our Black Friday hub, with more coverage coming as we near Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

London Bridge Attacker Claimed ‘I Ain’t No Terrorist’ in 2008 Interview Conducted after Police Raided His House

London Bridge Attacker Claimed ‘I Ain’t No Terrorist’ in 2008 Interview Conducted after Police Raided His HouseThe attacker who killed two people in a Friday attack on London Bridge said in a 2008 BBC interview that he wasn't a terrorist, shortly after authorities raided his home in an anti-terror raid.In 2012, four years after his home was raided, Usman Khan was convicted on terrorism charges for planning to bomb the London stock exchange, but was released after serving just eight years of his sixteen year sentence and placed in a rehabilitation program. Khan was tackled by bystanders and shot dead by police during the Friday attack."I’ve been born and bred in England, in Stoke-On-Trent, in Cobridge, and all the community knows me," Usman Khan, then 17-years-old, told the BBC following the raid on his home. "And they will know, if you ask them, they will know like these labels what they’re putting on us — like terrorist, this, that — they will know I ain’t no terrorist."Khan had been hailed as a success story for the Learning Together rehabilitation program, an initiative run by Cambridge University to educate prisoners. Khan used his connections in the program to obtain a permit to travel to a Learning Together event in London, where he killed and injured several people who were participants in the program.Vajahat Sharif, Khan's lawyer, told CNN he was "completely shocked" by the attack."What is so astonishing is that he recognized that the police were going to be in his life and he was fine about that," Sharif said. "It was just them doing their job. He was very different from [when he was a] 19 year-old. He had matured a lot."Sharif added that Khan had not discussed politics or any issue that gave cause for concern during their most recent interactions."He wasn't talking about politics. He wasn't talking about jihad. He was talking in a positive way," Sharif said.
