Taylor Swift goes grunge on the set of her "I Knew You Were Trouble" video.

We've asked this before and we'll ask it again because we are still confused: ISN'T TAYLOR SWIFT TIRED? Like, AT ALL? Girl totally nailed her performance of "I Knew You Were Trouble" at last night's American Music Awards, became insta-BFFs with Nicki Minaj and Cyndi Lauper, and now (ie. this morning), she's back on her grind filming the video for "I Knew You Were Trouble." And she's in L.A. where it's even earlier! Don't get it. (She's got to give us some no-sleep-the-night-before makeup tips.)

Wanna know what else doesn't make any sense? The fact Taylor isn't wearing a sparkly, girly, cute, pretty, or otherwise feminine dress on the video's set! We were SO accustomed to seeing Taylor looking like an IRL swan, having meet-cutes in French cafés, kissing hot French dudes, and biking around Paris in her "Begin Again" video, but for her "Trouble" clip, it appears Taylor has swapped her glamazon ways for say, something vaguely reminiscent of Mimi's fire-escape scene from "Rent" mixed with Christina Aguilera's pink dip-dyed hair. But that makes sense, right? Because are you really gonna wear sparkles when your song has a dubstep breakdown?

While there are no plot details as of yet, we're betting that Taylor's similarly grunged-out male costar is probably the dude she "knew was trouble" and they're currently having a passionate breakup and makeup scene on the fire escape. Either way, Taylor's definitely not in a dress, and we're just DYING to see how that all plays out.
