Alicia Keys, ‘Glee’ Release Albums; Mariah Carey, Cee Lo Green + More On ‘Christmas In Rockefeller Center’

Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

This week, Alicia Keys releases her fifth studio album (BTW: she, Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and more are performing at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 12 at the 12-12-12 benefit concert for Hurricane Sandy relief). Also, "Glee" culls a Season 4 mix where the cast takes on current hits, Rage Against The Machine commemorates their 20th year with an anniversary set, and Outasight releases his debut. Meanwhile on TV, holiday festivities are in full swing with the 15th annual "Christmas In Rockefeller Center" special, which airs Wednesday and features performances by Mariah Carey, Cee Lo Green, Trace Adkins, Victoria Justice, Rod Stewart, and others.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Alicia KeysGirl On Fire: A singer who's earned the No. 1 slot with practically every album release, Alicia easily achieves universal appeal with her consistent songwriting and fine-tuned ear. Listen to the sultry slow jam "Fire We Make" featuring Maxwell, and check out "Not Even The King," which was cowritten with Emeli Sandé and extolls the virtues of things you can't buy, like love, friendship, and fulfillment. Also watch her MTV EMA performances of "New Day" and "Girl On Fire."

+ Glee, Glee: The Music -- Season 4 Vol. 1: McKinley High's been in session for the time it takes to graduate, and all the while, the Glee Club's been marking those glory days in song. This season, new castmates appear along with some original mainstays who contribute to this set. They take on Imagine Dragons' "It's Time," Coldplay's "The Scientist," and Taylor Swift's "Mine," and also premiere future songs featured in Season 4, like One Direction's "Live While We're Young" and Psy's "Gangnam Style."

+ Rage Against The MachineXX: The Los Angeles punk-metal-hip-hop-fusing quartet have taken on important socio-political issues since their formation two decades ago, and XX packages rarities and b-sides along with their fiery debut. It includes the group's early signature songs such as "Killing In The Name," "Wake Up," and "Freedom." The album also features live and studio versions of "Bombtrack," "Bullet In The Head," and "Take The Power Back."

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

+ OutasightNights Like These: In last year's MTV's PUSH Artist of The Week, Yonkers-bred Richard Andrew (who performs as Outasight) was busy scoring big on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with "Tonight Is The Night" (the video for which featured Outasight and his posse somehow managing to make bowling look glamorous). While "Tonight Is The Night" is featured on his upcoming 10-song set (to be released tomorrow, Nov. 27), make sure not to miss "Now Or Never," which served as the theme to WWE's Survivor Series 2012 and "Shine" featuring Chiddy Bang.
