AFi’s “Ask Matty” Mattel Q&A Answers for December 1st, 2012

Twice a month the gang from Mattel are kind enough to answer five questions from AFi readers.  The Mattel marketing and PR team, have replied with the answers to our latest round of questions that AFi readers have posted in our forums.

Here is our latest round of questions and their answers:

Q1. When can we expect to see the DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited lines in-stores & available from e-tailers?

A1.   They should be hitting shelve now!

Q2.  With the DCUC Superman Batman and Wonder Woman going for big bucks on ebay would you release them in a 3pack? Maybe in the Super Powers colors we have been waiting on

A2.  No plans right now but we’ll keep that in mind!

Q3.  Any chance of the Cassandra Cain Batgirl being re-released next year’s Bat-focused retail line, and if so, could you give her the new cape from the recent New52 Batgirl, just to make her slightly different?

A3.  We don’t have plans for her now but she is a favorite around here!

Q4.  Are Suicide Squad/Secret Six characters contenders for DCIE subscription slots? I know that the Secret Six is obscure, but you guys have made such nice figures of Catman and Deadshot that missing Ragdoll and Scandal is a shame. As for the Suicide Squad, I’d love to hear that Wave 18 of DC Universe Classics isn’t the end for them.

A4.  Sure they are! We’d love to get to them in time.

Q5.  Early/leaked samples out of China for the DCIE Sub Phantom Stranger looks like the head is WAY too small for the body.  Any chance those are the rejects and this is something that was caught and changed for the final production of the figure?

A5.  Definitely best to not judge toys by “leaked” samples. We actually just sent out review samples of him so you can judge the final product!

If you’d like to ask a question for the  Dec. 1st submission then feel free to post your questions in our Mattel Q&A question submissions thread!   Remember they can be about any Mattel product including MOTUC, Ghostbusters, WWE, any of the Mattel DC lines, Voltron and Cars. Twice a month we draw our submission question directly from the ones that AFi readers post.

You can submit new questions in this thread.

And you can discuss the answers on our Mattel board.

Thanks again to the team at Mattel for taking time to answer our questions!
