A toy line dedicated to bringing back the joy and fun of the mid 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s action figure era!

Spero Studios was founded by Jason Bienvenu and Brandon Gary, inspired by the 4-inch toy lines of the mid 70’s, 80’s & 90’s, Spero focuses on bringing back the fun and joy from these eras with high quality products featuring modern articulation and tons of accessories!

Our first offering is inspired by The Kingdom Comic book featuring the AWOTK from the first story arc.

THE FIGURES – Series one features the main protagonist, Pale, and his Spectral Variant as well as 4 army builder characters to fill out the ranks of your ape armies! Each figure features 18 points of articulation as well as weapons and accessories.

ADVENTURE ARMOR PALE -The young albino ape king sports his trademark Mohawk and red armor while wielding the ability to absorb his fallen enemies powers; however this gift comes at a great cost as their ghosts become attached to him and slowly drive him mad!

CHUNARIAN GUARDSMAN -These heroic soldiers make up the backbone of the Chunarian army and guard the walls of the sanctuary jungle city of Chuh-Nar from enemies of every kind.

CHUNARIAN ARCHER – Skilled marksmen keep a sharp eye out for possible threats to the city from high atop the protective outer walls.

HORRID SOLDIER – Feral Mandrill soldiers meant to overwhelm and decimate rival armies; what they lack in fighting skill they make up for with sheer numbers and unhinged savagery!

HORRID MARKSMAN – Only slightly less vile than the mandrills these chimps are deadly with a bow but can wield a blade when in a bind. These apes rain hate down on opposing armies as city gates give way to the push of the horrid!

SPECTRAL PALE (VARIANT FIGURE) – One of Pale’s powers allows him to phase into a specter-like form allowing him to sneak past imposing opponents or an overwhelming number of troops.

STRETCH GOAL FIGURES!

ARTICULATION SPECS – The figures are 1:18 scale figures similar to G.I. Joe, H.A.C.K.s, Star Wars, Marauders Task Force and Marvel Universe figures. The figures are sculpted and colored in the cartoon style of the comic book source material and have great crossover play potential for lines like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

The figures feature 18 points of articulation: Ball-hinged Neck, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged elbows, ball hinged wrist, swivel-hinged torso, ball & socket hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and ball-hinged ankles.

Include 2 accessories as well as a removable harness! Mix and match your figures weapons and gear to create unique army builders

WEAPON SETS – There will be an initial offering of two weapon packs for you to arm your hero or villain armies with! These weapons are also compatible with other 3.75 or 4 inch lines as well.

The Chunarian battle pack offers your allied ape army the following weapons: Spear, Battle Axe, Mace, Bow, Short Sword, Dual Sais, & Shield.

The Horrid battle packs will supply the Vile Horrid troops with the following weapons: Shield, Dual Iron Claws, Dart Gun, Mace, Cleaver Sword, & Kanabo

PACKAGING  – Presentation is always a very important part of any product and our years of graphic design should show that we strive to delivery a quality product you can either display MOC or open and play with…or both!

GRAPHIC NOVEL: THE KINGDOM Vol. 1 “Rise of the Ape King” As we briefly mentioned before, this line is based on the first story arc from the graphic novel which features animals of every shape and size.

We decided to focus on Apes for wave one due to Pale and Kah Lee both being apes. However, future waves will showcase other animal types from the story including Birds, Mammals, and Reptiles! This first story arc chronicles Pale’s rise to the throne as he discovers his amazing new powers and deals with the consequences of wielding them.
