#AquaMonday Episode 016 – @KotoUS #SuperPowers ARTFX+ #Aquaman Statue

This week on AquaMonday we take a look at one of Kotobukiya’s latest offerings- the next in their line of 1:10th scale DC Comics ARTFX+ statues that pay tribute to the vintage Kenner Super Powers action figure.   Fortunately for me there’s an Aquaman in the first wave!

Kotobukiya’s groundbreaking DC Comics Classic Costume ARTFX+ Statue series brings you brand new non-articulated comic book characters based on vintage 1980’s Super Powers action figure sculpts enlarged to 1/10th scale. Joining previously released Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Batman, and Robin is the king of the seven seas: AQUAMAN! Retro is in and you can celebrate the great action figures of yesteryear with this vintage-inspired half-human/half-Atlantean Justice Leaguer resembling a classic five points-of-articulation toy. An all new sculpt updates the classic style yet retains the nostalgic feel, and collectors will immediately recognize the inspiration for this look. Aquaman surveys the world above and below the waves for trouble, and his iconic costume is in full effect with its scalloped orange shirt, green gloves and lower-body suit (with fins), black trunks, and yellow belt. The blonde amphibious hero smiles confidently, and you can display him with his trademark golden trident in either of two poses! Sculpted by Naoya Muto, Aquaman Classic Costume ARTFX+ stands over 7 ½ inches tall (1/10th scale) on his included magnetic display base with perfect stability. Display him alone or collect all of the DC Comics Classic Costume Statues like Superman, Batman, and the Flash!

Available at the official KotoUS website, BigBadToyStore.com, Amazon.com and EntertainmentEarth.com.
