Assassin’s Creed III DLC dated

Three-part Tyranny of King Washington begins February 19, with subsequent launches in March and April; not coming to Wii U right away.

Ubisoft today announced release dates for the three-part Tyranny of King Washington downloadable expansion, which posits an alternate universe in which George Washington succumbs to the allure of power and crowns himself king.

The previously announced first episode--The Infamy--will launch February 19. Notably, this comes just one day after Presidents Day in the United States, which is a federal holiday and honors George Washington.

The second chapter, The Betrayal, will arrive March 19, while the concluding episode, The Redemption, will be available April 23. All expansions will debut on the above-listed dates for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The content is planned for the Wii U, though release dates for that platform were not announced.

All episodes of the Tyranny of King Washington are available through the Assassin's Creed III Season Pass, available now for $30. Individual chapters will also be made available for separate purchase at $10 each.

Ubisoft also announced today a new partnership with McFarlane Toys that will see the toy maker create a line of action figures based on the series.

Series 1 will include seven figures, including Connor and Haytham Kenway. The toys measure about six inches tall and feature 25 points of articulation. They also come with a code that unlocks "exclusive" Assassin's Creed game content.

The Assassin's Creed action figures will retail for $15 to $17 and will be available this summer at retailers in the United States, Canada, South America, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand.
