Attack The Block Director Joe Cornish Is Adapting Mark Millar’s Starlight

Attack the Block director Joe Cornish will write and direct a movie version of the sci-fi comic book Starlight. The project is latest adaptation of a comic written by Mark Millar.

As reported by Deadline, Cornish will make Starlight movie for 20th Century Films, and it will be produced by Genre Films, the production company set up by X-Men writer Simon Kinberg. As well as Attack the Block, Cornish is also known for the 2019 fantasy movie The Kid Who Would be King and co-writing Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin with Edgar Wright.

Starlight was a six-issue limited series written by Millar and illustrated by Goran Parlov and published by Image in 2014. It focuses on a retired space adventurer who returns to his heroic old life when he is summoned by a mysterious call from a distant planet.
