Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access PC Requirements Revealed

Baldur's Gate III has an Early Access release date locked in, as well as official PC requirements. There's no indication yet as to what level of performance developer Larian Studios is currently targeting, but the modest requirements below indicate exactly what you'll need to run the game at either a basic or more graphically intense session. Larian also detailed how the minimum requirements might decrease over the course of Early Access, as performance improves.

You can read the PC requirements from the official Steam page, below:

Baldur's Gate 3 minimum PC requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD RX 4350
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
  • DirectX: 11
  • Storage: 70GB
  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)

Baldur's Gate 3 recommended PC requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4700K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) / AMD Radeon RX 580
  • DirectX: 11
  • Storage: 70GB
  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)

You won't need bleeding-edge gear to run Baldur's Gate III going by those requirements, as the need for a GeForce GTX 1060 or a Radeon RX 580 leans more towards the older side of PC hardware. The only requirements that could demand a slight upgrade from players, is the need for a 64-bit version of Windows 10 and a hard drive with enough space to house the narrative-heavy game, which currently has 45,980 lines of dialogue in the Early Access build as compared to the 17,600 instances of speech in the Early Access version of Larian's previous game, Divinity: Original Sin II.
