Batman: Arkham Underworld Revealed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on Tuesday announced a series of new mobile games, including Batman: Arkham Underworld and a brand-new Game of Thrones title. This follows yesterday's announcement of fighting game Mortal Kombat X for mobile devices, which launches in April.

The five new Warner Bros. mobile games are:

Batman: Arkham Underworld -- Developed by Boston-based studio Turbine, this game will see players building a hideout and then recruiting and training an "army of henchman to do your bidding." You'll control a team of supervillians including the Riddler, Harley Quinn, and Killer Croc. The ultimate goal is to become Gotham City's "next criminal kingpin." You can sign up for the Batman: Arkham Underworld beta today at this website.

Game of Thrones -- Also created by Turbine, this strategy game--its official name to be revealed later--is based on the HBO TV show. "Prove the wit of your spies and the might of your forces on the battlefield as you extend your dominance across the seven Kingdoms," reads a line from the description. "Join an alliance, rise to power, and then try to take the Iron Throne if you dare!"

The other three new WB mobile games are LEGO Batman Beyond Gotham, DC Comics Legends, and the previously announced Mortal Kombat X.

“Our mobile business has been a key priority for the company, and we are utilizing our incredibly talented internal development teams to create games with marquee franchises," WB executive vice president David Haddad said in a statement. "We've seen tremendous growth with our mobile business and expect to increase our market share by applying our best in class development, publishing, and brand marketing to this impressive slate of games."

WB has already released two new mobile games this year and both were successful, the company says. WWE Immortals has seen more than 7 million downloads since January, while The LEGO Movie Videogame "delivered one of WB's highest grossing launch weeks every for a LEGO mobile game," the company said.
