Bravely Default developer unveils Monster Takt

Upcoming free-to-play RPG to be out this summer in Japan for Android devices.

Silicon Studio, the maker of Nintendo 3DS RPG, Bravely Default, has revealed its latest mobile free-to-play game, Monster Takt.

According to the game's official website, the new title will put players in the shoes of a hero who wields an item called the Magical Takt that can tame and control monsters. Players can fight enemies in strategy RPG form and can collect up to 300 monsters with varying shapes, sizes and elemental attributes.

Gamers can also evolve their monsters into stronger forms temporarily by using rubies found in the game world. Furthermore, players will also be able to sacrifice other monsters in their collection to power up existing ones, provided that they have the correct number of rubies required.

Users who register early for the game will score a free, rare monster called a Lapin that comes with a random elemental attribute. Monster Takt will be out in Japan this summer for Android devices; an iOS version will be out in the future.

No US or European version of the game has been announced at the moment. For more information on the developer's previous game, Bravely Default, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
