Deftones bassist Chi Cheng, pictured here in 2000, passed away on Saturday at the age of 42.

Deftones bassist and founding member Chi Cheng died on Saturday. He was 42. The musician had been in a coma since a 2008 car accident. "He was taken to the emergency room and at 3 am today his heart just suddenly stopped," his family wrote in a statement. "He left this world with me singing songs he liked in his ear."(MTV News)
