Buzz Bites (7/26/12): One Direction Grab More Ed Sheeran Songs For Their Next Album

One Direction enlist Ed Sheeran for tunes on their sophomore effort.

+ Ed Sheeran got a writing credit on One Direction's debut, and it looks like 1D is back for more for their sophomore album. "Seventeen-year-old Ed just wrote a lot of love songs, so expect to hear a lot of love songs on their album, I guess," the now 21-year old Sheeran said of the tunes he's contributed. (MTV News)

+ Paul Raef, the paparazzo accused of chasing Justin Bieber down a Los Angeles highway last month, has been charged with four misdemeanors. He could face up to one year in jail and up to $3,500 in fines. (MTV News)

+ Talk about putting the "pop" in Popchips: Katy Perry is the new face for the snacks and will appear in their advertisements. She is also investing in the brand as well as becoming a creative partner. (MTV Newsroom)

+ K-Pop phenoms 2NE1 are headed back to the States for two shows. Judging from the gals win as "Best Band In The World 2011" and concert on MTV Iggy, they're sure to be hot shows. They hit Newark, NJ, on Aug. 17 and Los Angeles on Aug. 24. (Billboard)

+ Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé make cameos in a Duracell Powermat commercial, well sort of. Jay-Z actually gets a call from someone named "B," but it doesn't take rocket science to guess who's on the other line. (Rap-Up)

+ Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson and guardian of his three children, has been temporarily removed from her guardianship. Their cousin TJ Jackson will assume the duties. (MTV News)
