Buzzworthy Obsession: Bruno Mars, ‘Treasure’ (NSFW) (VIDEO)

Bruno Mars channels his inner Michael Jackson in his "Treasure" video.

Bruno Mars has spent a lot of energy reaching back in time on Unorthodox Jukebox (see: his "When I Was Your Man" video, and The Police-influenced "Locked Out Of Heaven"). Well, now Bruno's gone full-fledged '70s retro in his new "Treasure" video, which includes no shortage of disco balls, bare chests, Earth, Wind, And Fire vibes, and leopard-print shirts. Dude just loves his cats. It's understandable -- Rick Ross feels the same way about kitties.

In the fuzzy VHS-shot clip, directed by Cameron Duddy and Bruno himself, Bruno accents the '70s vibe by rocking out with a funky dancing backing band and throws in a variety of "special effects," like Bruno singing in space and being surrounded by triangles (no Illuminati, unfortunately).

OK, look: There's nothing wrong with taking cues from Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." That's a surefire recipe for success. Second, and perhaps most important, if the Tumblr Dads are the Original Hipsters is evidence enough, dudes were looking good in the '70s! There's nothing wrong with aviators and a little chest! SHOW IT OFF, GUYS.
