Celebrate Journey’s PS4 Launch With This Beautiful, Limited-Edition Statue

Alongside the arrival of acclaimed adventure game Journey today for PlayStation 4, Sony has added a new Journey-themed collectible to its PlayStation Gear website--and like the game, it looks quite lovely.

The $150 statue you see embedded here was designed by Tim Miller, who previously sculpted collectibles based on the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings franchises.

It depicts two travelers as a means to evoke the "playful togetherness and devoted companionship" you're meant to feel when playing Journey.

Built using polystone material, the statue measures about 11 inches tall x 8 inches wide x 10 inches deep. It comes with a 5"x7" color print of original Journey concept art for the pilgrims by art director Matt Nava.

If you're interested in getting your hands on the Journey statue, you may want to preorder yours right away, as they are limited to a run of 1,000 units.

The Journey statue will ship starting July 31. As of 2:30 EDT, the statues remain in stock.

Journey was developed by thatgamecompany and originally launched for PlayStation 3 in 2012. The 1080p/60fps PS4 edition launched Tuesday, featuring Cross Buy support with the last-generation version.
