CoD: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 5 Patch Notes Detail Weapon Balancing And More

Call of Duty's Season 5 now officially begins on August 13, but Treyarch released the patch notes ahead of the Black Ops Cold War's Season 5 update that will go live on August 12 at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET on August 13. Season 5's update includes weapon balancing for multiplayer, new maps, modes, and more Zombies content.

Multiplayer

As previously revealed by Call of Duty's Season 5 roadmap, Black Ops Cold War's new season will launch with new multiplayer maps. This includes the new 6v6 Echelon map, the return of the popular 6v6 map Slums from Black Ops 2, and the 2v2 Showroom Gunfight map.

One major highlight of Season 5 is Cold War's new Double Agent mode, which is similar to Among Us and Trouble in Terrorist Town. Double Agent is an investigative objective mode where a Double Agent character must try to sabotage a mission and stay undetected. Other players in the match must work to reveal the identity of the saboteur.
