In the video seen below, developers discuss aftermarket parts coming to Modern Warfare 3's Gunsmith. These unique parts are separate from the normal attachments found in Call of Duty's weapon customization, but these additional aftermarket parts will give you new ways to use your guns.

One example given is that Modern Warfare 3's heaviest light machine gun has a bullpup conversion kit, which allows the beefy light machine gun to be lightened and better used for a run-and-gun playstyle.
