Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Adds Metro Tourism, Better Motorcycles, And More Next Week

After teasing some hot new additions to Cyberpunk 2077, developer CD Projekt has outlined several of the new features coming to the game in Update 2.1. One of the biggest features is the inclusion of a metro system, something that featured prominently in trailers for the original game and its Phantom Liberty expansion.

You'll be able to catch a ride on the Night City transit system and fast-travel to one of 19 metro stations, or if you want to soak up the neon sights of the metropolis, you can sit down and enjoy the ride. You'll be able to access the metro system after you complete the Konpeki Plaza sequence--the big heist mission--in the game. Cyberpunk 2077 quest director Pawel Sasko added that this travel system is designed to be a new and immersive role-playing feature in the game for fans to enjoy.

Related to travel, several more vehicles are being added to Cyberpunk 2077. Johnny Silverhand's original Porsche 911 was teased, and Sasko suggested the car can be obtained through a brand-new quest. Spontaneous car chases are also being added, as you can expect gangs with a microchip on their shoulder to chase you down in retaliation for some of the choices you've made in the game. Fans of two-wheeled transportation can also expect several new motorcycle models alongside upgraded driving mechanics for those vehicles. At long last, you'll be able to pop a wheelie, hurl knives, and do other cool motorcycle stuff while voiding your Night City life insurance policy.
