Episode 14 - Time To Burn

Folks, no joking this time. We're finally, truly, at the end of our journey here. Norman Reedus' journey as Sam Porter Bridges is finally about to come to an end.

But first, we have to make one final delivery--to the incinerator where we made our first corpse delivery way back in Episode 1.

There's a catch though--you can't check your map anymore.

"Oh no!" I hear you cry. "I didn't think that I had to memorise the path to a fictional location in a video game and then use that knowledge 40-60 hours later!"

Don't worry. I got you. Let's go.

Episode 14 - Goodbye, Capital Knot City!

Head out of the Isolation Ward and back up the ramp to the Distribution Centre. You might already be able to see the smokestack of the Incinerator far off in the distance, in the middle of this screenshot.

Head out the gates and onto the plains.

Episode 14 - Grandiose Galavanting

Wow! Love to have a wide-angle perspective of this epic, final journey coupled with an incredibly moving song that I won't share the name of here, because someone will probably yell at me for spoiling it.

Episode 14 - Take Me To The River, Again

Keep running towards the mountain range until you see the river. You're on the right track, and doing great! We can do it!

Episode 14 - Why Did The Porter Cross The River?

When you get to this narrow section of the river, right about the place the whole terrain starts to elevate and turn into mountains, cross it. You can do it! Don't fall now, that would be embarrassing!

Episode 14 - Start The Climb

You remember this, don't you? You can see the relatively clear path up the mountain ahead of Sam in this screenshot. That's where we're going.

Episode 14 - Do The Climb!

That's it! That's the right one! Keep running up that steep mountain! Make sure not to trip on any rocks!

Episode 14 - Warning: Rocks Ahead!

Oh no, you've hit an incredibly rocky, steep cliff face. How are you ever going to get up it without any climbing tools of your own?

Episode 14 - Igor The Savior

My gosh! The ladders that Igor the NPC left for you at the very beginning of the game are still here! Can you believe it? Climb up that runged long thing.

Episode 14 - MVP Igor

Even the second ladder that bridges the gap is still here! Wow, how did this stuff survive the timefall?

Episode 14 - God Bless Igor

No way! Even the climbing rope he left is still here! Igor! My man!!!

Episode 14 - I Dedicate This Delivery To Igor

We're finally at the Incinerator. And *what* an incinerator it is. Just look at it. So majestic.

Episode 14 - Head On In(cinerator)

Head toward the entrance of the incinerator and you'll be treated to a cutscene. You'll want to sit down for this one, naturally.

Episode 14 - Turn In That Quest

Once the cutscene has ended, head on in, activate that damn terminal and turn in your very last cargo delivery. My gosh. What a momentous occasion.

Did you stand up after that last cutscene? Well, probably best to sit back down again. This is the big one. The final one. The ending to end all endings. The credits sequence that will actually mark the end of the game. There's one short interactive section, but you'll work it out. I believe in you!

Episode 15 - Time To Go Back To Work

So once the ending is done and the credits roll, you'll wake up at Central Knot City. Head to the terminal and pick up the critical quest, where you'll--

Okay I'm just kidding (thank goodness). Once you've finished Death Stranding, the game will throw an Episode 15 slate at you, and you'll wake up as Sam in your Private Room.

HOWEVER, this will take place a couple of weeks before the events of the ending, meaning everything is back in its right place before things got *really wild* with all those bosses. This is the game letting you back into the world to play around and finish all those side quests you missed. Now, you can enjoy the porter lifestyle without the pressure of the main story.

Go out and finish those roads! Those bridges! That amazing zipline network! You've worked so hard to build up your infrastructure, you might as well go ahead and use it to help everyone!

Thank You For Reading!

If you're looking at this very last slide for some reason--thank you! You're obviously here because you thought that you needed some help with Death Stranding, and I hope that I managed to help you somewhat, whether that be with the Prologue, the credits sequence, or any of the challenging bits in between.

May the bloodied, smiling visage of Norman Reedus bless you always.
