Deluxe Boba Fett Costume Review (Sponsored) #Halloween

It’s Spooky Season and the countdown to Halloween has begun. Thanks to our friends at HalloweenCostumes.com I’m able to review this awesome Boba Fett costume that will pair wonderfully with my son’s homemade Han Solo in Carbonite costume.

Per my request I was originally sent the costume in XL and found it to be a bit baggy with the armor pieces separated in odd places due to the extra fabric. It was comfortable and had I been at my pre-pandemic weight it might have fit perfectly. I’m in a minority of people who lost weight during the pandemic unrelated to any illness, it was by choice. So luckily I was sent the smaller size and found it to be a great fit. More on that later.

In the above picture you see all that comes in the bag. The armor pieces are a detailed foam that’s on top of the fabric that gives the costume a realistic look. I was especially impressed by the gauntlets which are part of the sleeves but give the impression of being separate add-ons. I had considered buying the gauntlets but I’m more than satisfied with what’s included.

The belt is nicely detailed as well, coming with sculpted pouches and being adjustable. I haven’t worn the belt for a prolonged period of time but I found it to be stretchy but also snug in the right way adding shape to the costume. The pouches are obviously not functional on the belt but the costume does include two movie-accurate pouches that are functional.

My only real issue with the costume is the helmet. It comes in two-pieces that need to be fit together with velcro.

I don’t mind that, in fact it could help to make the helmet adjustable to different head sizes. The overall fit is fine but the helmet itself is a little small, barely covering my beard. My other issue is the paint job is a bit sloppy. The helmet has an interesting wash of paint to give a weathered effect that makes it look a bit homemade. I doubt I could have done a better job but it does look as if I’d painted it myself. Fortunately I have this problem solved by already owning the awesome Black Series Boba Fett helmet which is still in stock at HalloweenCostumes.com right Here.

Above is a shot of me wearing the full costume. I like the fit and found it to be very comfortable. I have ordered a turtle neck and rocket pack to help complete the look but I’m quite happy with it and feel it is almost cosplay quality. The armor looks nice and the belt adds a nice texture. I’m only missing the Wookie braids but I want to keep the costume vegan. I should mention that the blaster doesn’t come with the costume but can be purchased Here.

The above is the same costume but with the Black Series helmet instead, which really enhances the whole look. I really like this costume and would definitely recommend as a casual Halloween costume and with modifications could be a great cosplay costume as well. If you’re interested in purchasing the costume you can buy it Here. I should also mention that HalloweenCostumes.com sells a highly detailed, replica quality costume that’ll set you back about $1000 which can be found Here. It might be a bit pricey but AFI readers get a special 20% discount on Halloween orders:
