Destiny 2 Ability Nerfs Have Arrived In The Update 7.3.0 Patch Notes

Destiny 2's latest major update is here, coinciding with the beginning of Season of the Wish, and it brings with it some big shakeups to gameplay including changes to Crucible, abilities, armor mods, and more. Here's the rundown.

Ability changes are coming in as part of Update 7.3.0, including a change to melee slides and shoulder charges that reduces their potential for lethality. Bungie has also halved melee lunge suppression time for players who are hit by certain displacing melee abilities. Bungie has also tweaked a number of abilities across multiple subclasses, with more details in the full patch notes below.

Crucible has received a number of major updates for Season of the Wish, including a double rewards booster and the return of the Citadel map. This season Bungie is also improving the rewards players will get for completing activities, with base Glimmer awards increased, an added chance for Enhancement Cores to be awarded, and award chances further increased if you win a Gambit match or Competitive Division match, or if you get a high score in a strike or Nightfall.
