Destiny 2's Empyrean Foundation community event has been completed, and with its end comes confirmation of something players have suspected for a while now: the Trials of Osiris is returning to the game. News of the Empyrean Foundation's completion came with a livestream from Bungie that gives some details about the return of Trials.

Bungie announced that players had completed the Empyrean Foundation quest on its Destiny 2 Twitter feed. We also found out the name of Destiny 2's next season: the Season of the Worthy.

The end of the event also unlocked a new cutscene players can access in the Tower by interacting with the Obelisk, which has been the center of the Empyrean Foundation event.
